Events to look out for when in the Western Cape

From Biltong to Wine, there’s something for every tongue and taste. But food and drink aren’t the only things happening this month of April to keep everyone merry. With the school holidays in full force, it frees up all the time in the world for you to enjoy the selection of events, while the kids stay at home and watch TV, or bring them along and give them something to remember. First Thursday’s

Kick off April with First Thursday’s which is an event that happens on the first Thursday of every month. It’s a great way to not only enjoy art but surround yourself with people who share similar tastes as you. There are plenty of art pieces to inspire creative debate. Pinotage & Biltong Festival

The Pinotage & Biltong Festival celebrates two of the country’s favourite treats. If you somehow in some inexplicable way don’t prefer either than dabble in the food trucks selling one of a kind one-off delicious snacks and enjoy the music provided courtesy of The Wildberries. The Two Oceans Marathon

The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon or the world’s most beautiful marathon as they say and deservedly so when you take a look at the route of this 56km Ultramarathon. From Newlands to False Bay and Fish Hoek, over Chapman’s Peak and the view of Hout Bay (and if you’ve trained hard enough) finally, feel that ribbon across your chest on the soil that UCT calls home. Each part of this run offers spectacular views and its own set of challenges. Cape Town Comic Con 2019

This annual convention is an excellent place for lovers and creators and even a good idea for a first date too (You’re welcome). Aspiring artists and writers can mingle with local, national and even international fellow artists and guests. The convention features it all, interviews, panel discussions, book signing, cosplay, launches and much more. Afrikaburn 2019

You may be wondering, what is Afrikaburn? If so you’re in luck because the answer to that question is as follows. A community of people who create, perform, burn structures and more. If there’s still confusion as to what this all means.
